"You there! Gigantic Patient! Haven't you heard the emergency alarms? The city is flooding and you need to leave this hospital, pronto!"
No, he hadn't heard the alarms. He had been too busy within his consciousness that he tuned them out. Now that Kasib snapped out of his trance, he supposed the alarms were booming with deafening noise. How he managed to ignore them was beyond him.
Huh, flood alarms, though? Freya did say there would be flooding. Bottlebomb has been susceptible to floods as of late, so he pondered if her theory was correct.
"HEY! I'M TALKING TO YOU!" Gemmy screeched, fluttering their wings impatiently.
"Hey...I don't think I can get up. This is fine. I'm ready to die now. Do you think the flood will be dangerous to take lives this time?" Kasib muttered in reply to Gemmy's yelling.
"Wh-what...the fuck?! I didn't come up here and risk my life just to hear this! Luckily for you, I can spread a miasma that can invigorate you. It's 100% adrenaline! Now GET UP, there's NO DYING today, buddy!"
Kasib grew saddened at the thought of his funeral being put off. Still, despite his forlorn state he managed to roll himself up from the stretched hammock.
"Augh..." Kasib grunted.
"There you go! Now all you have to do is remove the IV drip from your wrist, and..." Gemmy trailed off and flew to the corner of the room, returning with long crutches in their mouth.
"Here's crutches, to help you walk! You may not be an amputee of limbs, but losing your tails will deter your balance by 75%, not to mention the weight of your tails now being gone. You'll stumble at first, but it's only until we get to the anti-flood cab."
Gemmy flapped about the room's exit.
"Now get on it! You're a survivor for today!"
